Sporty chronographs

The DC 56 with vertical Tri-Compax arrangement of the totalizers (the small auxiliary dials for the stop times on a chronograph) serves to explicitly preserve the natural configuration of a classic Valjoux 7750 calibre as a piece of watchmaking history and make it recognizable as such. The watch connoisseur is not looking for exclusivity in the calibre here but instead values the actual performance of this design, which was developed by watch engineer Edmond Capt in 1973 amid the “quartz crisis” and probably constitutes the most successful modern mechanical chronograph calibre that has ever been built. The Damasko sporty chronographs are classics and stay puristically.
