Its 100% origin from the DAMASKO manufactory is genetically ingrained in the DS steel bracelet. The steel bracelet links are made of German submarine steel with a hardened surface layer. Its material proves to be extremely strong and ductile at the same time. Its seawater and corrosion resistance make the bracelet the ideal companion for more than just outdoor activities. The bracelet is slightly more delicate than its big brother made of ice-hardened stainless steel and forms a harmonious design entity when combined with the narrower DS- and DK3X model series. The loss-proof clasp with ceramic ball catch elements is made of ice-hardened stainless steel. Heavy-duty grade-5 titanium screws connect the individual elements. The supplied bracelet tool allows the length to be adjusted without damaging the screws. This experience has now been used to develop a new folding clasp with a focus on maximum comfort, both when wearing and when actually operating the fine adjustment. With an adjustment range of 20mm or 10mm, the mechanism can be adjusted in 2.5mm increments by pressing the particularly pressure-friendly push buttons on both sides. This is even possible without take off or open the bracelet. To maximize the wearing experience, the clasps have a geometry that follows the natural curve of the arm. The folding clasps are locked using a safety pull mechanism. This even provides acoustic feedback when closing. The new clasps are manufactured from the “solid” on 5-axis milling machines. It is made from high-strength, anti-magnetic austenitic stainless steel. This so-called U-boat steel is also used for the outer hull of German submarines. In addition, as is usual for all Damasko products, each stainless steel component is additionally surface-hardened to maximum depth. All screw components are made from the tried and tested titanium grade 5 material already used in Damasko bracelets. All components are manufactured in our highly specialized production facility and can justifiably call themselves a piece of “German engineering”. We offer you titanium screws to reorder for your steel bracelets made of ice-hardened stainless steel or submarine steel, each as a set of 6. The T3 screws are installed in the folding clasp of the steel bracelet and the T6 screws hold your entire steel bracelet firmly together.
