The In-house family A26
What´s new? With the new A26 caliber family, DAMASKO becomes one step closer to being a true “manufacture”. The development of the movement A26-X is more than just a new caliber, it will serve as basis for the new generation of Damasko watches. We started the journey with the DK30 and DK32 series.
The major challenge for every watchmaker is to build a reliable, long lasting movement, without any compromises. Therefore, the Damasko development team set the goal to offer the customer two options. They can either purchase Damasko timepieces with the current ETA movement, or opt for our newly released German in-house movement, A26. Regarding the technical aspects we focused in building a totally new automatic assembly, using two ball bearings, or the use of hardened steel on the primary hand winding components, topped with a nice finish on the outside. Thus, the design is beautifully finished on all the bridges, let’s not forget about the thermally blued screws.
